Whether examining music or design, exploring technology or humanity, Film First’s projects reflect a curiosity and passion to present alternative perspectives and spotlight unheralded subjects. Founded in Brooklyn, New York, in 2010 by Jessica Edwards, the company initially supported marketing and publicity campaigns for narrative and documentary features. In 2011, Edwards shifted the focus of the company to creating documentary projects that inspire and edify.
Since then, Film First’s accomplishments in both short and long form documentary films have generated awards, critical accolades, commercial success and have fostered collaborations with renowned directors and producers. Our Scenic VR division creates non-fiction virtual reality projects, pushing the boundaries of technology. But regardless of subject or medium, Film First is committed to the stories that connect us all.
